Suggestion: time-based road restrictions

Hello everybody,

in the area where I am Area Manager (northern part of Monza, Italy), we have a particular road that cuts into the Parco di Monza. This road has some traffic limitations in certain parts of the day.

For example:

  • Autumn / Winter : open daily 7.30 am to 7.30 pm - Sat and Sun it becomes a pedestrian road
  • Spring / Summer: open daily 7 am to 8 pm - Sat Sun pedestrian

It would be great if in Cartouche we could have the ability to set these time-restrictions, with those roads excluded by Waze at route calculation during closing hours!

Now, as far as I know, no other free or commercial navigation app has this option built in, so it could be another bonus point for this awesome waziness.

What do you think about it?

Unbelievable… I posted exactly the same thing yesterday in the german group. So we are at least two people in the world with the problem of time-based restrictions…

been suggested a few times before, Similar requirements here too. Check the uservoice sectuon, I’m sure there will be an entry for it!

Ok I just got a 75 euros fine for a traffic control area which is active just at night. No kidding!!

We definitely need this feature. Going to search on uservoice!

I voted for it here. http://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-cartouche-map-editor-and-waze-com-website/suggestions/798401-time-based-turn-restrictions?ref=title It is the number one feature I would like to see.

voted!

I know at least one turn restriction where the turn is allowed during night (the hours specified.)

I believe this function would also encompass road directionality changing by time of day: morning vs. night commutes?

We need similar features in Kolkata, India. We have a lot of roads in Kolkata which one way in a certain direction between 6 AM - 2 PM, one way in the reverse direction between 2 PM - 10 PM, and bi-directional between 10 PM - 6 AM

The Washington DC area has a lot of roads with time restrictions. We have many Interstates (freeways) that have HOV restrictions during some times. We have lots of roads that are one way at some times, two way at others, and then one-way the reverse way at still others.
