Hi, The turn restrictions on the York/Grosvenor St exit (southbound) are round the wrong way. The restriction should apply to the ‘keep right’ ramp (for buses) and not the ‘keep left’ ramp. Also, I think the restrictions are only for the morning peak, not the afternoon.
Also, there is a map issue report that mentions problems with the Toll Road (https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=151.20566&lat=-33.861&zoom=8&layers=965&env=row). I noticed that there are only patches of the bridge that are marked as a Toll Road. I was having a look at the reporter’s GPS path and seems waze was constantly switching between Cahill Expwy & Bradfield Hwy. Perhaps it would be better to mark the whole stretch a Toll Road after the last exit before the bridge (southbound)?
Interesting. I had not noticed before that you can restrict a segment OR a turn! Thanks ispyisail! In any case I believe it is as you have suggested Julian. Streetview shows NO ENTRY signs with those times on the exit to York St. I don’t see anything for York St, if you have first hand knowledge of the area then it needs to be fixed.
Whilst my name is on there for the last update that has happened because I was fixing a problem on the Cahill Expressway and noticed the ramp names needed updating. I didn’t pay attention to the turn restrictions.
My editing privileges for that area have now expired so I can’t help you directly. Post an update request in the forum if you believe you are correct. I’m sure one of the level 4-6 editors will sort you out!
Whilst you are in the area there is a UR from up near Military Rd that I was addressing until my area expired. I think it is valid but was going to get some other thoughts on how to fix this from the locals. Personally I think a one way ramp segment needs to be added (and time restricted) to join the southbound lanes to the one northbound lane that is used in the morning. Then that northbound lane needs to be changed to two way and at some point (which I had not figured out where) a ramp segment needs to be added to merge people back into the southbound lanes. I’ve just had a look at the other Update requests and would probably be a good idea to make the changes you suggest for the variable lanes. I’m not sure I’d be the best person to do this, as I’m only a level 2 editor (there would be a lot of unlocking needed!), but I have editing rights for the area. We seem to keep getting update requests all the time for various things on the bridge, so it would be good if some higher level editors could help us out here.
