I’m checking the TAH5 tracks in Senegal and I see something it seems not correct.

N1 - Dakar-Thiès

It’s strange: Thies is a city on the north, not here. How is possible this road is names Dakar-Thies?
Sorry for this question but I don’t find anything can confirm the name.

Yes it’s named like this from dakar to Diamniadio for the N1, and from Diamniadio to Thiès for the N2.

Another thing : I think have terminated the TAH5 from Dakar to Bobo-Dioulasso, but from Sikasso to Bobo-dioulasso, I’m not sure : could you check ?

Long ago that I was there : from Bobo-Dioulasso to the eastern, I do not have anymore editing rights…

I’m already running on the TAH5 from Dakar to the east
Just built some road network in Fatick and a pair of minor going south from TAH5.

Remember some mapping rules in Waze:

1. Minor, Major and Freeway don’t need “City” value;
2. Elevation is always “ground” and not “1”;
3. elevation is “1” only when the segment is over another segment at elevation “ground”.

Best practice in locking roads is create roads at lock level 1 connected to roads lock level 5 to allow another users to create local road network.

OK I name them only when it’s not other street to add city name, it will be better when the citys will be edited.

Few years ago, the orders were : freeway locked L5, majors locked L4, minors locked L3 and others not locked ?

Another thing : this road is categorized as Minor, but coz it’s starts and ends in a city isn’t it a primary ?

For me :
TAH and toll roads are freeways,
linking roads with gravels and/or asphalt are primarys,
linking roads without are minors,
roads within cytis with gravels and/or asphalt are primarys
and almost all others are streets.

Is it good or not ?

You need to add 1-2 roads connected to the highways and the game is over :lol:
And the simple added roads must be locked at level 1, so any other user can build road network.

As you wish: I found it as minor and I left it as minor. You know the city? I’ve created the other minor (Route Fatick - Foundiougne).

Roads vhich are not paved but which is the only to connect a city to another city…
