There was a time when you didn’t have to connect them.
There is no raid map to connect them all
You won’t see a direction arrows from the street to the TT

Have you experienced this yourself??,
I don’t think the connection is necessary as long as the level crossing is well positioned on the segment.
Or we have a problem since it was changed to a road hazard.

You are right, in this example, the Waze app shows us the level crossing anyway :
