Temporary Turning Restrictions - Hastings-on-Hudson, NY

Hello,

Can Waze temporarily restrict turning movements for specific hours of the day? We are a traffic engineering company assisting Hastings-on-Hudson, NY with a trial run of “no left turns” from 6 AM to 9 AM M-F, 10/15 to 10/19 on the westbound approach of High Street and James Street. If the trial is a success, the turning restrictions will likely stay permanent weekdays from 6 AM to 9 AM. Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

This can be implemented in the Waze Map Editor on both a temporary and permanent basis. Just to clarify, there will be no left turns during that time from High St westbound to James St southbound (node B at that link)?

Yes, and the times should be 7 AM to 10 AM instead of 6 AM to 9 AM. Also, these restrictions will also be in place on the westbound approach of High Street and Hudson Street.

So in summary, these are the restrictions:

No Left Turns 7 AM to 10 AM, 10/15 to 10/19:

  • High Street westbound to James Street southbound
  • High Street westbound to Hudson Street southbound

Also, I was restricted from opening the link you shared. Do you know a workaround to this?

Thank you for your help!

Alex

The link asks me to add my email address to continue, but I am unable to do so.

It should be the same username and password you use to login to the forums here. No worries though, your clarification helps so you don’t need to check the map link if you don’t want. I will set those two turns restrictions for the 10/15 to 10/19 range. Please let us know if they do become permanent!

Pete,

Thank you so much for the help! We actually just received word that the restrictions should be 7 AM to 9 AM, instead of 7 AM to 10 AM. Are you able to make this update? Sorry for the changes, but this should be the last one.

Alex

I’ve updated the times in accordance with the last message. Thanks for letting us know.

Was this permanently updated? We heard about it from another source as well, just wanted to see if you had any information on it.
