Tharwa Dr Road Closure

Hi All,
I’ve just put a restriction on Tharwa Dr to close it 5 Jan to 26 Jan 2015 as per this media release: http://cdn.esa.act.gov.au/wp-content/uploads/2014-010-Media-Release-Tharwa-Drive-to-close-temporarily-in-January.pdf
Of course the closure will have no effect until the next tile update, whenever that maybe.

The closure does seem to be in place judging by the ACT policing twitter feed: https://twitter.com/ACTPol_Traffic/status/552011164310179840

I also tried putting in a report using the Feed the waze site (http://feedthe.waze.hu) but that doesn’t seem to have worked. (First time I’d tried it…)

If anyone finds that the closure ends early, let me know.
Cheers

I’ve just discovered that the road works finished early and the road re-opened on Tuesday afternoon (13 Jan), so I’ve just now removed the restriction that prevented routing through Tharwa Drive. Things should be back to normal after the next tile update…

Someone just responded to user report saying there was still a problem and I found an editor called mrt49b(3) ‎inserted a new one way segment just south of the roundabout!
Now that I’ve captured an image of this I’ll fix it. Grrrrrr

Shoot them a PM explaining what they have done and point them to the forum and Wiki pages

Thought about sending a PM and looked them up. Here’s their user stats

I don’t think a PM will be read seeing as they haven’t visited the forum since 2012.
In my view anyone who is not active in the forum should (a) not be able to progress up the editing ranks and (b) probably should lose their editing status after a years absence.
This person has a 3 rank!

We can knock em down to Lvl-1 until they respond (if they log back on)…
Or is that too extreme?

Thanks Pete,
They did respond to my PM (much to my surprise). Said they’d had problems trying to edit using an ipad and did admit to not having edited for some time. I guess he was just trying to help out but only made things worse - hence my frustration.
So no further action needed.
Cheers

I have yet to find intentional map damage

I guess it will happen one day

I once had one direction on the Auckland harbour bridge in reverse for a few days, can anybody beat that.
