There is now a Thailand wiki

The wiki, which is exactly one page, is a collection of information from the forum, with some of my own wisdom thrown in.

It contradicts many things that I see on the map, so I suggest that the wiki is not the official reference for now, just something that needs to be discussed. Maybe it will become an official reference in the future

(I’m trying to get this into the rest of the wiki structure, which may take some time since they are restructuring everything)

As I mentioned earlier in the RM ‘hangout’, I think the U-Turn examples are great. It allows a new editor to click into it and see exactly how they should create them, thereby really taking away the ambiguity.

What I envision is something like a section devoted to these examples. Maybe a picture on the Wiki (for those who don’t want to click into a WME example link) and then the PL after it for those who do. Some itersections like a 2 way connecting to a divided highway may be confusing for learning editors. Or a divided crossing a divided (with connectors). And this way, they’d have a quick and easy ‘go-to’ for how to construct them.

Provided the examples are locked to a high level of course…

Don’t most of those exist already on the regular Wiki? To keep the Wiki as clean as possible, we should limit examples to just those things where Thailand differs from the norm. (such as dedicated u-turn breaks)

True, they do on pages like Junction Style Guide/Intersections, but I thought the option to see actual examples in WME would be helpful, particularly where some ramps or AGCs are needed. Just a thought.

I’m with HOM on this. Let’s try to keep the Thailand Wiki as compact as possible.

A simple question: is now the Wiki the official reference for Thailand editing?
This question is because I found in the Wiki some rules different from the rules I know, regarding road lock level (for example).

So, I stop editing until I’m not sure about the rules.

Yes, it is the official source that the new organisation is using. It is also developing pretty quickly. Please join the discussions that have opened - now is the time to get your input in!
