To fix or not to fix?

sirs, what’s the local policy on roads that are drawn with a bit of offset with respect to the satellite image? do we leave it as it is or do we adjust the roads?

also, some landmarks are drawn to match building/buildings while others are drawn to match the compound/area that belongs to that landmark. what’s the recommended way to draw landmarks, for the sake of uniformity?

for roads that don’t align with the aerial, check the GPS tracks. the satellite images does really have an offset and is not aligned to the maps on some locations but the GPS tracks should be the correct location.

as for landmarks, it would be better if the compound or area is marked or labeled since there is a minimum size which can be displayed on the client. https://www.waze.com/wiki/Template:Minimum_landmark_size

Another question: What about turn restrictions/one-ways that clearly indicated but seldom enforced and often ignored by many drivers (mostly motorcycle riders, maybe some local drivers)? When wazers ignore the restriction, i think this will lead to automatic detection of a map issue. how should the map issue be resolved?

only legal maneuvers should be put on the waze maps. i have resolved a lot of these waze generated map issues and since i know that the suggestions are illegal turns, i just mark them as solved and lock the segments to a higher level. this is to prevent other editors from thinking that it is a legal turn and enable it.

advise concurred!

allowing such ILLEGAL driving maneuvers will cause the driver/wazer concerned to commit traffic infraction. ;)
