I’m new to the forums. Have been using Waze for about a month.
I often travel between Canmore and Banff and see that “Toll Road” pops up in the route information. Looking at the editor, I see that the off ramps from the TCH have been designated Toll, along with the 1A, but none of the roads in town or say, the sunshine road are not designated as such.
I understand that this may have been done due to the requirement for a Parks pass if you stop in the park or use the Icefields Parkway.
But the roads themselves are not toll-roads? There is a user fee for the park, yes.
It all seems a little inconsistent?
Sorry if this was someone’s past pet project, I’m not trying to step on anyone’s toes. I’m just wondering if theres is any background to this or if there is room for further discussion?
