好像新的政策里对于国家城市名编辑除了新的细则
我以前的编辑方式“中文名 English name”的格式已经不能成功完成编辑了
我也试了单独的“中文名”和单独的“English name”的编辑方式~~也是错误
请问现在的城市名是用什么格式编辑的？
我也想知道 搞到现在都没有心思编辑了
我查询了帮助，官方有回答说要看本地语言的论坛，那里有细则，我就来找了，结果没看到
As not many users in China, no one step up to lead the community. I suggest only to use Chinese on City & Street Name.
This is what I always did. I never used english name for the street I edited.
but the problem is I cant even add a city name on it now, it shown “you cannot add a city name in this country” when I tried to save, does it mean something?
Using only Chinese to edit the map is okay, but I tried this time, it didn’t work. And I find a problem on my device, I’m not sure is it also appeared on your devices, that, the Chinese names may not displayed correct, it has no problem on the map editing page, but on smartphone app, the Chinese characters of names always displayed in a box with cross in side.
Which phone are you using? iphone or android? I have no problem on display but will take a look when I come back from holiday :mrgreen:

I’m using android in Lollipop with nexus 5, and my system language is English (US).

You can see the lost Chinese characters are replaced by cross boxes. Does the problem come from system language?
I couldn’t see the same problem on my phone. Could you try to change the system language to Simplified Chinese and see what happens?
I changed the language, and clean the cache, and restart the app, but it doesn’t work. There wasn’t that problem, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Anyhow, if it is just my devices problem, that’s much better.
And I would like to report another problem that, one of my edited city’s name was changed automatically. It was “九江 Jiujiang”, and now, it is “九江市 Jiujiang”, is that the new rule for name edit? I would like to suggest that, do not use this format for city’s name, coz when zoning change in some region, we will have to pay huge energy to change the name of city, like “文山县” upgrades to “文山市”, and “南康市” changes to “南康区”.

Here is the link for Jiujiang city area, the name of the city was “九江 Jiujiang” by I edited, but now the name changed to “九江市 Jiujiang”, and latest editor still myself.

oh, I found another city I edited also got a problem after automatic edit. And this error is ridiculous, the city’s name is totally wrong, it’s thousands miles away. Hope we can get an official format for the cities’ names in map editing soon, and WAZE could respect editors’ works, when they want to change anything, they need do more research.
