I am an active map editor in the Baqa al-Gharbiyye area and its surroundings. I am encountering a difficulty – I am unable to add new places even though I manage dozens of different locations for clients and also help many local residents, whether by adding or editing places that haven’t even been active for years!.
I would appreciate it if you could help me obtain editing permissions, so that I can continue to update the map efficiently for the benefit of all users and the community.
My goal is to improve the navigation experience and information for everyone visiting the area.

Everyone who helps here in the forum and on the map is a volunteer map editor. If you want to help, you can do so from within the app when you are outdoors in front of the location. Also, if you have driven in the area in the last 3 months, you can also request to update places through the map editor.
Please note that since everyone here helps as a volunteer, the expectation is that anyone being helped will also do so free of charge.
Regarding obtaining permission, it is impossible as you are requesting.

I’m telling you, it’s not letting me edit even though I’m physically at the location as well!
And this is an area I’m in all the time and live in… not just for 3 months…!
And yet, it doesn’t allow me to edit…
Someone must have blocked my permissions to update in this area…
And I don’t do things on Waze for pay for others!
Just like you, I do the additions and changes completely voluntarily without any compensation…

And yet I’m blocked from making changes in this area!
To find out whether you have permission or not, open the Map Editor, and in the layers list, turn off the “Map Comments” layer, then go to an area where you recently drove with Waze open and toggle the “Editable Areas” layer on and off.
If you see no change in the map’s brightness, then you probably don’t have permission. If there is a change in brightness, you will also be able to see that there is an area on the map brighter than its surroundings when this layer is turned on. For an explanation, see here.
After you check this, we can continue looking into the matter.

What message do you receive when you try to update a place or add a new one? Exactly after which action does the message appear?
I always get a message saying it’s not possible and I need to get approval from someone at level 3 and above!
I assume you’re trying to edit a map comment (not a place, which is something else). A map comment locked at level 3 means that no one below level 3 can make changes to it. It’s the same for places locked at a level higher than yours. You always need someone with a high enough level to make the change.
I’m not talking about adding a place as well!
And not just a note..
For example, right now I have a business location I need to add in Baqa too

Any problem you encounter must be explained precisely: what you were trying to do, at exactly which stage of the editing attempt you received an error message, and provide a screenshot of the error message you received, as well as a link (permalink) to the location in question (see the forum header for how to copy and paste a permalink).
