Hi, how do I add my business location? It’s a new complex.

In the future, it is recommended to post in the Israeli forum, preferably under Map Editing Requests if it is such a request. You initially opened this thread in the global forum, where local attention is minimal.

To answer your question: a place can be added in 3 ways:

  1. Using the app while near the business: Click the reports button ← scroll until you see the option to report a Place (a purple icon of a pin with a camera inside) ← take a photo of the business front ← fill in the details and send for approval. After that, an experienced editor will review the request and approve or reject it accordingly. Please note that handling a business addition this way may take some time, which is why the second method is recommended.

  2. Adding it yourself via the Map Editor: First, ensure you have driven with Waze open in the business area. Then, open the Waze Map Editor on your computer and log in with the same user connected to the app (this can be done easily by scanning the barcode appearing on the login screen). Next, find the business area on the map and zoom in on it. In the left menu, you will find a multi-colored button for adding map elements; hover over it, select the “Place” option, and immediately choose the category. Fill in the details and save. Afterward, it is recommended to create a permalink for the place and attach it to a forum post, asking for approval. This ensures it isn’t missed and is handled quickly. If necessary, an experienced editor can even contact you to guide, clarify, and explain the processes if required.

  3. One final option is to provide extensive details about the exact location, address, business name, its type, and any other detail that will help locate and understand the position, the nature of the request, and all the details you wish to add. Open a thread on the subject in the relevant forum and wait for an experienced map editor to add the place for you.
