Truck ban cameras

With the upcoming opening of the west gate tunnel, there are several newly installed truck monitoring cameras in the area. Can these be added to the maps as users are constantly incorrectly tagging them as speed cameras.
The locations I know of are;

  1. For traffic on Blackshaws Road
    a) Blackshaws & Kyle Road intersection
    b) Blackshaws & Chambers Road intersection
  2. For traffic on Somerville Road - at Stephens Street intersection
  3. For traffic on Hudson Road - at Hope Street
  4. Francis Street - ?
  5. Moore Street - ?
  6. Buckley Steet -

Hi, are you able to tell me the direction these cameras are facing? I can add them as dummys so they won’t alert but show on the map as we don’t support truck navigation in Waze.

Thanks!
they face both directions on Blackshaws, Somerville and Hudson.
I’ll check the others out over the week and revert.

Thanks. I have added them. They should appear in a couple of days.

You’re welcome to look at them here…

Can you please confirm this location as we have another Wazer saying nothing is at this location. Thank you

Hey Andrew,

Drove there this evening to have a look.

Not at Somerville Road & Stephens Street

Its at Somerville Road & Powell Street

Cheers,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin - we don’t normally map non speed or red light cameras - I just wanted to make sure we have a suitable map note when wazers start getting confused as typically when they see a camera they generally always think its speed related. We also need to be factually correct so some of the original suggestions are not confirmed until facts can be provided - fortunately another wazer challenge the accuracy of this original post hence my checking - your subsequent feedback aligns to theirs.
