I originally posted this in the general map edit section, before realizing this PA section was here.
I’ve noticed that Hanover Township has been showing up on my maps in the app, when there isn’t a township named that in my area. Looking at the map editor, I see that there is a large area marked as Hanover Township running from York County to Luzerne County, which both have Hanover Townships. Can an area manager in one of those two areas (preferably York, since that one appears smaller) rename the area with the county name. I believe that is the preferred solution to this type of problem. Thanks…

Hanover Township in York County should be “Hanover” (Borough) and I started changing some of the streets there and will continue as time allows. Thanks.
Hold off on this… I submitted a city name change to waze which was improperly fixed. Hanover Twp in York was suppose to be just Hanover, while Hanover Twp in Luzerne co was corrected, however they named both the same by mistake
I’m still seeing these areas connected, now as Hanover instead of Hanover Twp. I know the York County one is a borough, so it should be just Hanover. I don’t know anything about the Luzerne one to know whether it’s a township or borough. Any thoughts on getting these two separated?
we were waiting for Waze to rename the one in Luzerne county to Hanover Township, but it hasn’t happened yet. I can work on it this week if we don’t want to wait…
I saw it as Hanover and Hanover Township from Harrisburg on my way up that way this past weekend. I also saw Charlotte which is interesting too…
No update.
