U-turn restriction at intersection (Fremont, CA)

There was an UR for a turn restriction at the Peralta and Paseo Padre intersection as follows:

https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat=37.56096&lon=-121.9953&layers=BFTFFTTTTTTFTTTTFTTTTFT&segments=5633244

A U-turn is not allowed on Peralta from either direction, but is allowed on Paseo Padre. Since the roads are separated, I could not find a way to add turn restrictions such that it prevented the U-turn at Peralta but allowed a left turn from Paseo Padre onto Peralta (and from Peralta onto Paseo Padre). I had read elsewhere that removing the street names at the intersections might achieve the job, so I did this but I found this is not the case.

Example of directions instructing the U-turn at the intersection:
http://maps.waze.com/livemap/?zoom=15&lat=37.56091&lon=-121.99585&layers=BTTTTT&from_lon=-121.99604231849&from_lat=37.560554814322&from_seg=5624218&to_lon=-121.99676115051&to_lat=37.561278012212&to_seg=5643987

Any suggestions? Do we need to combine the streets at this intersection and then do some fancy turn restrictions?

Thanks!

At places where a u-turn is allowed, it frequently occurs before ‘the intersection’.
In a few places where WAZE has notice people making such turns, I have inserted a short, one way, ‘parking lot road’ so that WAZE will stop complaining, but will not be likely to route people through there.

You might try something like that.

I notice, using http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/141050 that there are several nodes there that need to be fixed.

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/144939 is very useful for fixing such nodes.

Why not use bow-ties? They can be used to both allow and disallow u-turns.
