Ultra Trail Tour de Nancy

Hello,

On May 23 & 24, the UTTN (Ultra Trail du Tour de Nancy) will take place around Nancy.
Several races are scheduled throughout the weekend.

No roads will be closed, but runners will be crossing the road in certain locations.
Marshals will be in place to allow runners to cross when necessary.
Signs will be posted ahead of time to indicate that a footrace is in progress and that runners may be crossing.

However, in Waze, is it possible to indicate a “danger” to warn about runners crossing the road?

I tried using Map Editor mode to add an event (sporting event), but when I save, I get an error. No further details on the error.

Thanks in advance for your help

Guillaume

Hello,
The event has been created; I hope it will be enough to get a notification for a sporting event in the area.
This represents a third of the 100km course.

Thanks @MisterLogik,
Actually, I wanted to be able to add a zone to the map every time a route is crossed.
To have several small, well-identified zones rather than one large zone.

I get this error when I try to save my event:

The fact that no roads are closed complicates things.

Maybe by becoming a partner, you could do more? @InstantT, if they are around, can tell you more about this.

See you soon,

Hello Guillaume
Thanks @MisterLogik

I am sorry, but first of all, you should not create many small events for a single large event.

A large event covering an area of less than 20 km can already help raise awareness among Wazers.

As a Waze partner, you could prepare to set up alerts just like drivers do and add more if needed in real-time.

To do this, you can sign up for Waze for Cities and get back to me so I can give you more explanations beforehand and/or afterwards, as you wish.

Hello,
And thanks @InstantT & @MisterLogik.
I’ve created a “Waze Partner” account. I’ll see what I can do with it.
