Unable to comment on Waze reports

Unable to comment on Waze reports says something went wrong comment not added. Just started to occur today.

Do you have PL? This could be related to the map freeze.

I’m unaware as to what PL means so no clue if I have that or not.

Unfortunately, no. I just noticed that you and MrNicGuy were talking about two different things.

However, I recommend you go in the app to the “hamburger” menu in the top left corner, click “Help and Feedback,” then click “Help center.” They will be better equipped to help with this issue.

If the report was closed then you can’t respond via the app. You can still respond via the Waze Map Editor for about 8 days.
Find the location in Waze Map Editor
Make sure that you have Issues selected in the Map Layers toggles (Upper right corner - looks like sheets of paper on the top white circle)
On the left side click the Solve Tab. in the top right make sure URs are turned on and that Closed (or Both) is selected. Also has comments. Then apply.

You should have received a few comments on the report. We typically close them in 8+ days.
If the last comment was something along the lines of Unfortunately we didn’t hear back from you so closing the report… then it just took too long for you to respond.

If you give us a description and if possible a permalink (PL) to the problem we will still try to figure out what the problem was.

@MrNicGuy is correct. There was a temporary freeze on the ability of users in North America to comment on map reports (hazards, closures, etc) for a couple days. It should resolve itself in the near future.
