Unable to Identify Correct External Provider

Steps to reproduce this issue:

1. Create a place (in this case, Post Office - Summersville)
2. Enter the place name in the external provider search box.
3. The search results show multiple listings and it’s not possible to identify which corresponds to the place I am adding.

Using the WME Place Interface Enhancements script, we used to be able to hover over the options in the search results, and it would place a marker on the map at the Google Maps place’s location so that we could identify the correct option to select. Recently, however, Waze staff asked the script author to remove that feature and that now leaves me with no ability to identify the correct external provider to select. As such, I will now leave the external provider blank.

When I encounter such a situation, I add the two Google places to Waze POI.
Once this is done, I open each Google place, and verify if they actually correspond to Waze POI.

In addition sometimes house numbers don’t show in the results when adding so it makes it terribly hard to trust/identify which is the correct location. When seeing the Google pin location, if it was the right location we can link it and be confident in the results.

That’s a valid workaround, with emphasis on the second part of the word

I am using this method since years, not as a workaround. The behaviour of the WME did not recently change.
Without looking at the Google place, I cannot confirm if the place actually matches the Waze POI.

Please note that when hovering on the result, we display a tooltip with the full name of the external provider.

This is almost enough information. We really need to be able to see the full address, without having to hover over each entry. An example is how many Starbucks coffees there are on the same street. This example is two Chevron gas stations on the same intersection.

That is helpful, though I’ve noticed sometimes the tooltip doesn’t appear. I haven’t been able to figure out why it doesn’t appear sometimes. I will also echo what turbomkt said about it still not being enough information.
