Unable to use the search in Waze

Since yesterday (Feb 17th) I have been unable to use the search function on Waze, when I hit the search button the screen goes black for about 2 seconds and then just comes back to the regular screen. Same thing happens if I click on the icon for my saved locations.

I have force stopped Waze

Delete the cache

Uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same issue.

Any ideas what could be causing it.

Thanks for the post @Cyclops2440. We don’t troubleshoot the Waze app here as this forum is for map issues only. It does appear you were thourough with what you have done and I would have done the same. My only help that I can offer would be to think what changed on the 17th.

I managed to resolve my issue by doing the one thing I didn’t think of doing.

I cleared data in Android auto and the search in Waze started working again.
