UNC Athletics Construction

Question for everyone to see what the best practice should be here. UNC is currently demolishing its Henry Stadium and Navy Fields to build a new indoor practice facility for football (seen on the map here: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lon=-79.04314&lat=35.90741&s=112451031&zoom=7 and construction information here: http://www.ramsclub.com/ViewArticle.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=3350&ATCLID=211178093&RAMS_SITE=YES).

Construction/demolition has begun. Would it be best to go ahead and delete these places on the map and mark it as a construction zone? I’m pretty sure the answer will be yes, but I wanted to put it on here just in case there is something I may not have thought of yet as a reason not to.

I recommend marking those places as Closed due to construction in the name – that way if anyone searches for them, they will get that information. And then when the new facility is nearing completion, mapping it and deleting the other places. Thanks for taking this on!

What are your thoughts on turning them from areas to points as well? If we do this, it’s still searchable, but doesn’t show up on the navigation map. Also, if we do this, the construction area could be created/labeled if that may beneficial to people.

Good idea!
