I was driving to an appointment in North Smithfield and my directions from Waze took me down an unmarked road. There were a few small Private road signs up however, I see them all the time in RI, typically in affluent communities.
I was about 1/2 way down the road when a large pickup truck with a faded “Security” sticker on the fender speeds up to my bumper with horns blowing. I pulled over on this now dirt road and he started to verbally assault me. I didn’t think I ever heard so much profanity in one breth. The man was irate and incredibly rude, He had a large dog hanging out the window and a rifle mounted on the inside of his truck. This could have been an incredibly dangerous situation if I didn’t act politely in this situation. This road is also not currently on Google maps. Please remove this road from directions for everyone else’s safety. So, apparently, this is not a public road I did confirm that it is gated off when it meets Log Rd. Please remove this road from directions so someone doesn’t get shot.
