Hi. I live in Cambridge and work in Guelph. I have noticed that there is a lot of missing speed limits (such as this road, which is deceptively 50 km/h, and often police enforced), including major roads (such as Canamera Parkway), and a lot of missing construction alerts.
I use Waze regularly now, and I would like to help complete this data, but I don’t have the editing permissions to do so.

I have added the missing speed limit … should show up in the app in a couple days.
The segment in question has a Level 4 lock, so only Rank 4 editors are able to modify it. This is the case for most busy / main roads on the map. Right now you would be at Level 1. There are plenty of roads that a Rank 1 editor can modify, and I’d say many that need attention. There is also a lot of other places where you could start to get your edit count up and increase your rank.
In the mean time, if you’d like to make changes to a segment that is locked above your rank, you can post an Unlock/Update request in this forum and a higher level editor will help you out.

Construction alerts can not be added through the editor at this time, only closures. They must be reported through the app, or sometimes a TrafficCast alert will appear during the duration of the construction, which is a 3rd party resource Waze uses.
