Reason: Need to update allowed road use at this military gate.
Unlock to level: 5

Thank you in advance,

The map is already set to allow entry through this gate.

It doesn’t seem to work that way with navigation.
Try putting in a route from Redfield, AR to McKee Dr White Hall, AR.
It bypasses the gate on Wise road in favor of a longer route that bypasses by trying to route through roads that no longer exist.

Changes that I think need to be made to make it more accurate/efficient:

Thanks!

I will take a look and review the suggestions. But we do set military installations to disallow “through traffic”. Even if some drivers have installation access. Only when a destination is on the installation, do we allow routing through controlled
gates.

Let me look now. Any additional info would be great.

Steve

Thanks.

McKee Drive is on the installation. I’ve tried it with other addresses on the installation and it tries to route around the gates if at all possible.

1 - We set the gate hours for Hoadley Rd as you posted.
2 - We set the perimeter Patrol Rd such that is shows, but is not connected, and is now private road. It can not be used for routing. If Security personnel did access the area, and they had Waze on, the App would “jump” to the street, but no routing to or from it is available.

Let us know the approximate start point and destination, on the typical daily drive that is incorrect. We want to test in a few days and ensure that all the inbound/outbound restrictions are correct. It’s been a while since we reviewed the entrances to the entire facility. And even minor changes could adversely affect the routing in the area. We would appreciate all the local knowledge we can get on the facility streets, routing, etc. Up to the limits of what is public knowledge only. If you find street name errors, etc, please fix those. Excellent job on the posting PLs and giving clear explanations.

Thanks for the McKee St info. We will check, but the overnight system update (tile update we call it), will incorporate the new gate restrictions, then the test will be more valid.

Most of the map errors are corrected. A test route today from Redfield to PBA was 17 minutes. It routes directly down Dollarway Rd, to Wise Rd, and through the Main Dexter Gate (Open 24 hours).

It did not offer the Plainview Gate on Hoagley Rd, since it is now set to be closed today, with the day/times you provided. On Monday, we can not be sure what routing will be the fastest. It is possible that using the interstate will cause use of Plainview, but it will no longer bypass the gate and use non-existant roads onto the base. We will see how the timing works out via the interstate from Redfield to McKee. I suspect is could still be slower than down Dollarway Rd.

We found some limited (additional) gate info online. But prefer first hand knowledge from you. That data shows a “RAINEY GATE”, with hours of M-F, 0600-1900. Though that website shows the gates in the wrong place, this gate shows on the NE side of the base, off the NRTC Rd. But, that route does not show gates on our older aerials. Since this website showed the main gate on the SE side of the base, off McFadden Rd, the location flags are totally messed up. But the McFadden gate does appear to be a more logical gate to have resources assigned to during weekdays. Do you have more info on that gate/location/times?

We have reviewed the Stack Gate on Roemer Rd and noted that it has NO GPS TRACKS. We have set a long-term closure there. If that entrance still exists, though always closed, we will set accordingly. If it is totally removed, other changes are needed. Can you update us on that gate?

Google Maps is really wrong. So I am trying to get the Plainview Gate renamed. And add the Main Gate, and have it assigned as the primary location, when someone types in just “Pine Bluff Arsenal”. That can be a slow process, however.

Hopefully, with your help with info, we can get the driving experience to/from PBA corrected.

Steve

All updates are active. A test just now, during duty hours, showed BEST route from Redfield to McKee Dr: via Dollarway & Dexter Gate. 12 miles, 18 minutes. The second route offered was: via I-530, Plainview gate (not the side streets), 16.5 miles, 20 minutes.

It should be fixed. After duty hours and weekends, it does route to the Main Dexter gate.

Thanks for your into.

Steve
