Thanks for letting us know, Paul. Closures can only be applied by editors at Level 3 and above. If you can reply here with details of the closures (or message the information to me) I’ll get it added as appropriate. I’ll apply a closure to that one segment in the meantime.

It turned out to be a temporary closure due to a traffic incident - I did the notification because the A525 is on the verge of flooding at the levels of the Dee rise - they’re currently high.
The roads around this area are subject to winter flooding and we’d (the Bangor-on-Dee flood wardens) like to be able to put a closure notification in to help the efforts of the WBC Highways, who implement signed road closures.
The main problem is HGV and long-distance traffic using the A525, who rely more on Sat Nav. The locals tend to know the best ways around the closures but the traffic I mentioned becomes problematic particularly when diverted through Bangor-on-Dee and Overton.
What’s the best way for us to proceed?

Hi Paul. I sent you a private message regarding this when you first posted about it in Feb '22 - but the messaging/chat system on this forum has had a major revamp (I refuse to use the word “improvement”!) since then, so that will have been lost in the mists of time.
Basically, setting real-time closures is restricted to editors at Level 3 and above, so it’s not something you’d be able to do. The best way is to either post information here, and/or ping me a direct message - the whole of Wrexham CBC falls within my AM area, so I (or any other L3+ editor who can work this area) can get the closures put on for you in a timely manner.
