Map correction please. I am am avid WAZE user but don’t know how to edit a map. I traveled today to Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Pinch, WV. The US post office address is 80 St Andrew Ln, Elkview, WV 25071. It is located in Pinch.

WAZE directed me to a place that was not the church. Then WAZE directed me to the Methodist Church, then a Baptist Church. The location is near the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department.

Can anyone help correct this?

That church has been added to the map - also that street address has been updated. Hope to see the receive and update within a few days. At that point, please redo your search for that place and do not use a previously chosen “place”. Finish typing the name and hit the search button. From the list of suggestions, the one in Waze will have a teardrop icon rather than a clock.

Hello! I’m a long-time Wazer and have added a few edits over the years. I’m in a new home in WV and the unpaved lane is not recognized by Waze or other maps. I tried to add it and was able to do the edits, but not save it. Can I get permissions to do this? The address is 780 Henderson Heirs Lane, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411 (there are two other houses on the lane). It would really help with deliveries if my road were showing up on maps! Thanks! I went ahead and added Henderson Heirs Ln to the map, along with house numbers 259, 339, and 780. You have a nice private lot there at the end of the road! Please remove any instance of this address from your history and Saved places by the following: https://support.google.com/waze/answer/6262570?hl=en.
Then, perform a new search and resave. If you don’t remove the old results from your navigation or Saved places/Home/Work, then you will continue to be routed to the old coordinates.

Thanks, Tom! I don’t see it yet in Waze, but it probably takes a cycle update to show. Looking forward to being able to drive to my house and get accurate ETAs! I will definitely go to Discord in the next couple of days - there are lots of things missing in Waze in this area, so I’ll be able to help for sure.

Yes I should have mentioned that it takes a couple days for road segment changes to show up in the app. In general if you make a change before 11am ET, it will show up in the app the next day. But these changes were in the afternoon so it should be there tomorrow.

And we would welcome the assistance with updating the map!

Hello, I’d like to request an update to the map if possible. I noticed the following street is missing: Corkrean Way, Morgantown, WV 26508. Several new homes were built in the past year and a row of townhomes that have been here since 2016 but none of these addresses/street exist on the Waze map. Though I’ve used the Pleasant Hill Road address to get to this location in the past, I figured it was time to request this update now that the building projects are finalized. Thanks in advance!

I just moved in to a new home on October 20, 2022. The road as listed in Waze is Scines Road. Its segment ID is 507508218. However, that is not the correct name for this road. It is actually a continuation for Hale Lane, segment ID 507508219. The postal address given to me is 2991 Hale Ln, Leon, WV 25123. That address is at coordinates 38.78391433846733, -81.93202940295956 from Google, and Waze coords per permalink below. I use Waze every day, and would really like my address to be in there correctly. I tried to use the editor, but as is all over the boards, I am locked at level 1 and not able to change anything.

Thank you for the information. There’s currently a technical issue which is preventing level 1 editors from being able to submit edits. I’m definitely happy to help get things updated. Aside from the name of Scines Rd, is the road correct otherwise? Specifically, I’m wondering about the portion south of that address. In aerial imagery it looks like it may not continue to the south. Then again, the house also isn’t on aerial imagery so it may well be different now.

Thanks - I see that the actual “1112 van voorhis rd” shows up with that address, but the other location is still showing as that address as well. If I search just the address the incorrect one is the one the pops up.

Updates to most items in Waze don’t take effect immediately. Rather there’s a tile build process where updates are compiled and pushed out to the app. It can take a few days for the update to be published.
