I have come across a town that I’m updateing street names, and come across Walla Walla, which to Waze don’t exist!!
I’ve gone through the forum looking to see if someone has come across this before but found nothing that matches this.
I’ll keep going for now, with leaving the no city box checked, and come back to it in the future.
Any thoughts ???
thanks
This is quite true and will most likely be activated in the next wme release. This change by Waze came about as many newer editors were still incorrectly labelling city names and causing new smudges or inconsistencies to the established maps. The general consensus from most country GC’s was a restriction of city names is for Level-3 editors and higher, however some countries chose a higher level due to their own internal issues. We were going to post a sticky in the forum when we had confirmation from Amit. Australia & New Zealand will be restricted to Lvl-3 editors and up. Seems like Waze have moved their plans again.
It wont be that list. Wazr staff were very specific in saying the. Information had to be public domain. That list looks like one from a script, so most likely not provided by Waze. You would need to talk to the author of that script AlexN-114 and where he obtained that info. Best to wait to hear back from Waze staff as to what their source was. Don’t speculate.
Quite possibly if the Suburb information sourced is copyright by another entity. That is something you need to question with the author of that script. That’s not for me to make that call. I’ve never used that script, so I couldn’t tell you.
