How often do the map tiles for Port Moresby update? I’ve made changes more than a week ago that still aren’t visible in the live map. As it is now the map for Port Moresby is woefully inadequate with roads missing, names wrong or missing, landmarks misnamed and misplaced, etc…
I’ve fixed as much as I was able to do in the map editor but since the delay has been so long in getting the live map updated it just takes away tremendously from the usefulness of the client.
Have you checked the status page? status.waze.com?
You’ll see that the International server was updated yesterday with edits up to the 17th included.

Great work you have done around Port Moresby. Could I make a few suggestions to your future editing.
- It looks better on the client App if you abbreviate the street names, ie: Street = St, Crescent = Cres, etc…
- Proper case on all street names and road types.
- Check your turn junctions.
Other than that… keep up the great work.
The live map is a funny one
Even though the physical roads don’t look updated the underlining roads are. The physical roads do eventually get updated.
e.g. make some changes wait a few days then on live live map click on a road and set point “A” to point “B” and you will find the route now works
