Thanks for the update. Was waiting to get some local update. Will make the changes in the next few minutes.
Is posting here the only way to get these updated? Is there a quick way to get it done from the phone?
Thanks for the update!
The forum, though a solid way to get help, can take a few hours till an editor that can work your issue checks the postings and responds. In AR, we don’t have many editors with widespread editing areas, but we are part of the South Central Region (SCR), which is quite active (AR-LA-MS-OK-TX).
Several different methods are available, depending on the State. Each one, or it’s Waze “region”
has a preferred communications method that is usually very active and monitored. In the SCR, we have a VERY active Slack main channel, and sub-channels for each state, and areas of interest. Posting there will get the fastest response. You can read up on the region in the Wazeopedia at: https://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/USA/USA/South_Central
If you don’t plan on becoming an active editor, you may wish to use the other built-in Waze methods. Except for immediate ability to handle closures (such as this instance), all other map changes typically take 2-4 days to fix and await the needed system updates.
So the best phone method for most drivers is to use the App (at the point of the map problem), and input a report. If an issue isn’t clear, an editor will communicate with you via emails. (Email addresses are hidden – the Waze computer blindly sends e-mail responses between users and editors.) https://support.google.com/waze/answer/6262574?hl=en
But, the private messaging (PM) system here in the Forum is also available. Feel free to send me any request for help, with as much detail as possible, and I will make those long-term map changes. When we get PMs, most of us get notifications on our phones, to go check for a private message.
Hope that helps. If you have more questions, please contact me via a forum PM, at any time! ![]()
