Hi there,
I’m on the corporate marketing team for an apartment complex in Tempe called The Halston. The leasing staff at this location isn’t able to edit the hours or add photos even though they are on the app and at the location. I’ve run into this issue at a few of our properties and was wondering if anyone knows why. Do we just need to write posts like this to get it updated or do the teams need a higher score in order to make those edits. Thanks for the help!
Hello and thank you for reaching out. The reason your staff cannot update the place in Waze is that it does not exist in Waze yet. The result you see when you search for The Halston is populated from Google. Have one of your staff, when at the property, open the Waze app, hit the report something button (looks like a triangle with a plus in it) and near the bottom of that list is an option “Place” Complete that to best of their ability and one of the local editors will approve it and it will be published in app.

Thanks so much for the response! The property manager sent me the below screenshot. It seems like the listing exists in the app but I can’t see it from the desktop Waze Map Editor but then again I am several states away.
Correct. As I noted above, that is a Google result and not a Waze result (As you may or may not be aware, Waze uses Google results when a place is missing from the Waze database) . Please follow the guidance above to add it into Waze and we will approve and add it. Thank you!
