I have recently had URs I report (and in the app saying they are submitted) stop showing up in WME, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am also contacting Waze support.
Here’s what I know so far and have tried, if any of this information helps:
I’m running the most up to date app on Iphone 6s Plus, so hardware isn’t an issue. Provider is Verizon, and I always have strong signal (metro area) so network isn’t the issue.
It’s been about 10-11 days I think since my last UR showed up. Over a week for sure. However, I’m seeing URs from other users show up even up until now in my area, so I know it’s not a server wide or area wide issue.
I have already tried removing and reinstalling the app, checking all settings and logins, and sent logs.
I am running the most up to date WME with a handful of scripts, and also WME beta. While there are a number of URs from other users that only show up in Beta but not in the regular WME, mine never had that issue (they always showed up in both) and now are showing up in neither. I am running on the most up to date version of Chrome.
I have tried completely clearing the cache and history on Chrome, restarting in various configurations, turning various scripts off and tweaking settings on scripts (especially URO+ and URC). So far, no luck.
Within the app, Waze acts like everything is normal, and that everything is being submitted successfully, but nothing is showing up in WME.
As stated in the recent thread below, my drives don’t seem to be showing up either, or paved roads. However, this seemed to be the opposite of those circumstances, and most specifically relates to URs. Since I have been unable to find anyone else discussing an issue with URs missing, I wanted to find out if anyone had any thoughts or experience with this, or suggested solutions.
UPDATE AND RESOLUTION:
So, it turns out this was something of a unique and unusual issue, that happened at the Waze-server level.
After a couple weeks without any URs showing up in WME or WME Beta, no obvious reason why that was the case, the RC contacted one of the Waze staff in Israel and had him look into it. Turned out, I had been blocked/restricted on some level automatically by the Waze algorithm apparently for “excessive driving”. He confirmed that I was legitimate and they staff member removed it, and most of my missing URs showed up, though a few were lost to history. Also, all URs submitted since then have consistently appeared.
I drive a lot for work (I am a real estate photographer, and am driving to several shoots a day sometimes, and across about a 100 mile area), and take long trips somewhat regularly on weekends for fun, so the mix of consistent in-city driving every day, combined with long-haul driving on occasions, I think tripped something in Waze’s monitoring system.
If you experience a similar issue, and the problem is confirmed not to be a hardware or software issue, or a slow update in WME, then I recommend having your SM or RC contact staff to check for a restriction or block action somewhere.
Hope this helps someone out.
Thank you tcalvert317 and karlcr9911 for helping resolve this!
