Reason:
People are driving on this road with a campers and trucks and then they get stuck. Then they need to go backwards up the hill for hundreds of meters. Waze app drives people on this road if they are coming for example from “Kranj” to “Globoko” or to surrounding campsites. It’s a big decline hill, so somebody need to urgently close this road OR write that it’s not suitable for campers/trucks/vans. Only for cars…but there are other roads to come to Globoko and there is no need that Waze suggests this.
At point “A”, user of Waze app should just go further and then left under the highway 100meters after point “A” (yellow “1”), he shouldn’t turn left at point “A” at all.
So make 1 or 2 options, first is marked with yellow “1”, second one is marked with yello “2”.
We have a camping and somebody shoudl change this as soon as possible.
First of all, it is good to know that Waze is only intended for passenger cars, not trucks or vans. We know that some drivers use the app, but the navigation instructions are not specific to them, they may encounter height or width restrictions, or even an entry ban for more than x tonnes.
Actually, the same applies to campers and personal cars with caravan,etc.
The road you indicate is indeed narrow (although I wouldn’t have a problem with it myself).
I did make an adjustment to the map and classified this road ‘narrow’. This gives a penalty in the routing and that would then ensure that drivers get a different preferred route. But I can’t close or remove the road, it remains a road that can be used and is quite suitable for passenger cars. So if people make their own choice, that’s up to them.
The adjustment will become active in the app in a few days (probably Monday).
I hope I was able to meet you with this.
As you may know, we as map editors are all volunteers, so we can’t specifically adjust algorithms for using such roads here either. That’s up to the developers of Waze themselves.
I also saw your chat. If you want, you can also edit the map yourself in the editor. As a beginner you can adjust the area you have driven yourself to the level you have already achieved. That is, of course, as a starter ‘level 1’. So you may have to ask for unlocks to be able to do certain actions. We can help with that. Unfortunately, the editor community in Slovenia is not very active, so we can certainly use all the help to keep the map up to date.

Thank you. I’d also restrict actually to drive on this road also for regular cars. It gives a big problem to all our guests and neighbour’s campsite, around 10-20 campervans daily. Can you actually restrict only that if somebody wants to travel from for example: from Eco river camp to kranj or from kranj to eco river camp. It shouldnt drive anybody on that marked road. Can you please do that?

As you maybe can see now, I have set a ‘junction box’ on top of the roads.
If you select the road to the camping you will see a red arrow to the small road.
That means navigation will not use this route. It works vice versa ;).
As mentioned, it will be active in a few days, presumably on Monday.
Junction boxes only work on small areas of the map. Luckily it works here, but for larger areas junction boxes can’t be used.
