US-1 Widening South of Occoquan River bridge

VDOT is widening Jefferson Davis Hwy (US-1) Southbound lanes have some new pavement.
Here is the VDOT site.

Spencerfg has done some BOTG and will continue to due periodic visits.

He does not feel it needs to be split as of today.

We have emails into VDOT to get plan drawings and to confirm what is allowed for left turns and u-turns with the construction and final configurations.

Please note that user comments that are a few days old from when they drove it might be inaccurate as things are changing.

Please coordinate here prior to making changes.

MC of the area.

From VDOT
Thank you for contacting us. While we have switched the two existing southbound lanes to the new pavement, this is still a temporary configuration. At this current phasing of work, there is an access from northbound Route 1 to make a left at the El Ranchon entrance and a left to the new Easy Street. There is no access from the southbound lanes to any of the businesses at the northbound side of Route 1 between the limits of the project from the Occoquan Bridge to Mary’s Way. At the final configuration when the project is completed, there will be a concrete median between Mary’s Way and the Occoquan Bridge. All the intersections will be maintained. Let me know if you need additional information.

Construction from Annapolis Way to Marys Way is complete.
