Yup, not worried about the technical side of it, just wanted to get the info out there, because it’s a major highway and several weeks.
Requesting this segment be unlocked (level 5) ahead of time so we can set the closure accordingly when the time comes.

Map is updated, and Waze is doing a great job of routing traffic around the area during the morning and afternoon rush. Definitely one of those moments that shows Waze’s power!
In an incredible feat, US-40 is already reopened. The construction is not complete, but it appears they have completed enough to reopen the roadway. I’ve updated the map accordingly; if there are any more closures between now and the 26th it will be localized and intermittent, so drivers can just follow the regional detours setup.
