I need some advice on a UR I’m working. The report was created because Waze’s instructions were to turn from US-71 onto MacArthur Dr to reach the final destination. Waze has the frontage roads as Macarthur dr and the main road as US-71. US-71 and MacArthur Dr are the same road with service/frontage roads paralleling on either side. Local signs in the are refer to these roads as frontage roads. I’ve encountered this as well when using Waze but always dismiss because I’m from the area and know where I’m going.

Initially, I thought changing the road names would fix the issue, but the house numbers for all of the businesses on MacArthur dr are tied to the frontage roads. I’m not sure if it’s best to leave as is or if any changes need to be made. GIS maps and LADOTD maps are conflicting on the issue as well.

If you put the street name as Frontage Rd and put an alt-name of MacArthur Dr, it should still be able to utilize the house numbers layer if someone is searching for an address. Go ahead and try it and do some before and after experimentation for house number lookups and see how it works out.
