As discussed in the global forum we have built consensus for some changes to the JSG/interchanges page over a year ago, and are yet to have any movement on the global front for approval. I will therefore make a USA version of the page with these changes incorporated.

Those are great ideas, but at this point they should be part of a new effort to discuss and update and not be used to hold back making changes which were already agreed to. By all means feel free to discuss improvements, and how the page can link up with the TIO page, but I will not wait for that discussion to make this current update.
I have now made the USA local variant incorporating the draft by CBenson. However I did not include any change changes which were meant to globalize the content as this is now a US specific page. Any future discussion about updates to the content (and we need to discuss revamping and merging the Wayfinder section with TIOs) should happen in the USA wiki forum thread.
If any included control cities or road names correlate only to the roads affected by the “TO”, then those control cities or road names should be moved after the “/ to [road(s)] /” on the segment name.
If Morristown is served by I-280 and not by I-80, the continuation segment should be "I-80 / to I-280 / Morristown".
If any included control cities or road names correlate to the roads not affected by the “TO”, then those control cities or road names should remain in place before “/ to [road(s)]”.
If Morristown is served by I-80, the continuation segment should be named "I-80 / Morristown / to I-280".
