I recently changed my username on the main Waze site and all of my profile information on the forums was lost, although my old posts remain under my original username. I thought I’d mention it in case this wasn’t a common problem since I didn’t really lose anything important. Perhaps it is just a case of the server not transferring information yet.
The forum does not see a link between your old username and your new username because it was changed on the Waze side. It seems like they script creating forum accounts from all users who have logged into the editors and that they don’t updated. Unfortunately, to my knowledge none of the posts, thanks or post counts have ever transfered when changing a username.
Happened to me as well, it seems changing your nickname on Waze is bad idea. Anyway, if problem like this came up - you can tell support, and they can help you and fix this problem for you. Because as i know - there is nothing you can do, even changing nickname back doesn’t fix problem - it makes it bigger. It makes 2 separated accounts…
