Sorry if this isn’t the right forum, I figured this is probably a more universal problem than posting in my province’s thread, but mods please feel free to move.
I suspect someone in my area (Charlottetown, PE) has been running Waze while bicycling. There have been several GPS tracks in the editor which follow the Confederation Trail, a completely off-road recreational trail that vehicles can’t access, and the app has been reporting severe congestion on streets where this person is apparently travelling, and suggesting bizarre route adjustments. For example, this morning one main road on my route was reporting 17km/h over a long stretch so Waze kept trying to direct me onto side streets, but there was actually barely any traffic at all. I mean, it’s Charlottetown, traffic just doesn’t move that slowly unless you get stuck behind the horse and buggy tours.
Can anything be done about someone using the app like this?
