Very long map comment will not stay loaded

Hi, there’s a map comment that originally was just the area circled by the mouse in the screen recording (PL below) before it was extended when the roadworks started on the rest of the area. However, now if that original spot is not loaded then the comment disappears. It happens in both beta and prod

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Load the comment by going to this area: https://waze.com/en-AU/editor?env=row&lat=-26.26103&lon=152.72074&zoomLevel=15
  2. Pan up the map comment away from the PL
    or
  3. Zoom out
  4. Pan to a different part of the map comment
  5. Either zoom in or click the refresh tiles button on the right

Hi BeastlyHaz,

Could you tell if this is still reproducible? The team checked and added a comment that they saw that errors were mitigated.

Hi Nataliia,

Yes the issue seems to be resolved. I checked a couple long comments and not one failed to load.

Hi, this bug has resurfaced exactly as before in both beta and prod. Steps to reproduce and PL are both the same.

Thank you for your comment. Could you please attach video when you reproduce the issue again? I checked a few map comments and they remain visible on my side after refreshing the map.

Hi Harry,

Could you please help and add permalinks to examples of comments which doesn’t stay loaded? The team needs them in order to analyse possible dependencies and common root causes.

Edit: actually for some reason I can’t seem to reproduce the issue with the original map comment anymore in both beta and prod. However, it is still affecting the additional example.

Hi Harry,

Thank you for this new example. It is strange but the comment remains loaded all the time on my side. Could you tell which browser and PC or laptop do you use? It might be OS/browser specific behaviour.
