When using the driving directions to Victor NY High School the WAZE app puts you on the side of the road on the New York State Thruway!! YOU MUST CORRECT THIS AS IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!

Hi, Could you tell us what exact name as entered into Waze you searched for looking for Victor High School when you got these directions?? Thanks!

I typed in “Victor High School” and “Victor Central School District” popped up and I tapped it and began the ride. It was VICTOR CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT which took me to the N. Y. State Thruway!

I see the issue.. since Victor has the Junior and Senior High schools, both Google and Waze have just “Victor Senior High School” and “Victor Junior High School” as places, so when you just search for “Victor High School” It resolved to a google location of “Victor Central School District” which is the entirety of the area emcompassed by the district, and puts you in the center point. Looking at the way we have the campus set up, we could probably improve it a bit, resolve this issue, and provide more specific guidance to every major part of the campus instead of just a single collective entry point on high street. So let us work on that in the next day or so, and thanks for bringing this issue to our attention!

I’ve created separate locations for :

  • Victor High School (Including aliases for Victor Junior High School and Victor Senior High School)
  • Victor Intermediate School
  • Victor Primary School
  • Victor Early Childhood School
  • Victor Central School District (for the district office building)

I’m also working on updating all the campus roads as some of them on our map are slightly dated. It will all take a couple of days to show up in the app, so when it is updated, if you frequently go there, we’d love your input on anything else that should be updated after that point.
