Vignette passes are now LIVE!

Hey all,

Happy to announce that the Vignette permits are LIVE now on the client.
Now, you can all see and add the permits for your country and your neighbor countries.

Please let us know, if all is working well, and if you think something should be changed: name of permit, countries you should or should not see etc…

This is the list of countries which are able to see and add the permits, and the countries visible to them:

  • Austria - Switzerland ,Czech Republic , Slovakia , Hungary , Slovenia
  • Slovakia - Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria
  • Hungary - Austria , Slovakia , Slovenia , Romania
  • Slovenia - Austria , Hungary
  • Romania - Hungary , Moldova
  • Moldova - Romania
  • Switzerland - Austria
  • Czech Republic -Austria , Slovakia
  • France -Switzerland
  • Germany - Austria , Switzerland , Czech Republic
  • Italy - Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia
  • Poland - Slovakia , Czech Republic
  • Croatia - Hungary , Slovenia
  • Serbia - Hungary , Romania
  • Belarus - Jurmala Latvia
  • Ukraine - Moldova
  • Bulgaria - Romania
  • Lithuania - Jurmala Latvia
  • Estonia - Jurmala Latvia

As we said in the upcoming days we will start with our U-Comm about it via Engagement messages and takeovers. If you wish, you are more than welcome to let our users know about the option to add the permits via your social media channels.

In the next few weeks we will follow on the data regarding the number of users who have added the vignette, and it will play a key role in the launching time of the feature.

We are using this time to make the best out of this feature, therefore it is important for you to know that launching time won’t be on November 18th as we estimated.

We will keep you up to date with results and timeline as we did up until now.

Best,
Ruben & Hezi

Thanks Hezi,

As we discussed on other channel:

  • names of passes have to be unified. now it is a mess, some are in local language some are in english. about a month ago we agreed on “Vignette full_english_name_of_country”, because of the info from you that the name cannot be localised via Transifex. (technically it cannot be any issue, but it requires a bit of thinking and implementation changes in client).

Ruben promised to check again if there is really not possible to translate the names now or in future. That is why i was thinking (it is not any agreement on this for now) about longer version “Vignette abbreviation - local_name_of _vignette” e.g.:
Vignette CZ - Dalnicni znamka
Vignette SK - Dialnicna znamka
Vignette HU - E-matrica
Vignette RO - Rovinieta
Vignette MD - E-Vinieta
Vignette SLO - Vinjeta
Vignette A - Vignette (a bit strange, but it follows pattern)
Vignette CH - Vignette. Sadly it will not be bulletproof for switzerland where are 4 (i guess) languages.

longer text is not a big issue, as in the list it is without problem on two lines (see hungarian county passes) and when it is written at the botton of a route in route menu it is small font, so again not a big problem

  • for Slovakia local passes, now we have HU, CZ, SK and please add Slovenia and Switzerland

What about Engagement messages and takeovers translations? When we can expect them to be in transifex?

Would you guys like to have it called: “Vinjeta SLO - Vinjeta” or “Vinieta MD - Vinieta”?

Because that’s what “Vignette CH - Vignette” looks like and the repetition doesn’t look good or logical.

We’re fine with “Vignette Switzerland” or “Vignette CH” as we said before, but there is no reason to add the exact same word twice IMHO.

A and Ch might be without “- Vignette”, i admit it looks bad

Local part will be with punctuation or without?

@HeziBez I don’t see Vignette pass for Bulgaria. Instead, I see Rovinieta - probably the Romanian pass. Our vignette pass should be called “Винетка” (Vignette BG - Винетка).

Also, under “Show all passes” I see all kind of passes that are not relevant to our country at all.

“Show all passes” shows all passes that exist, it’s not supposed to show passes for one country only.

That was a proposal, but i have not used punctuation, but it should be with it of course.

Vignette CZ - Dálniční známka
Vignette SK - Diaľničná známka
Vignette HU - E-matrica
Vignette RO - Rovinietă
Vignette MD - E-Vinieta
Vignette SLO - Vinjeta
Vignette A
Vignette CH
Vignette BG - Винетка

i did not know that Bulgaria is also part of this…

Please add Slovenia to Czech local passes
and Slovenia and Switzerland to Slovak local passes

Vignette HU - E-matrica országos

Please

Hey,
As far as I understood from when we were collecting the data for this feature, Bulgaria didn’t have an active Vignette yet.
Some thing has changed since then?
If so please sent an Email to Hadas, Ruben and me with all the details, and we will take it from there.

Regarding ‘All passes’, it is for a user to be able to add all the passes he want where ever he is, in his country or somewhere abroad.

If you have anymore question please let me know,

Best,
Hezi

Following our conversation with you all, those are the names were agreed to be shown on the client:

Vignette CZ - Dálniční známka
Vignette SK - Diaľničná známka
Vignette HU - E-matrica országos
Vignette RO - Rovinietă
Vignette MD - E-Vinieta
Vignette SLO - Vinjeta
Vignette AT
Vignette CH

Thank you for your help and feedback on that topic.

There is no Latvia in the list, thus no menu in app.
Also, please rename to
Jurmala pass - Jūrmalas caurlaide - LV

You are in the list of all passes menu. I wonder if you have to have the same naming structure as other countries, as yours “vignette” is in fact permit for entering one city center, ours vignettes are for roads in whole country. Am i right?

CZ community is asking for another passes in local passes.

Please add SLO, CH, HU + neigbours (AT, SK) and CZ to Czech local passes.

I mean every country in Hezis list got the Toll/HOV menus. We did not. And we are not in his list.

Hey all,

All the issues was raised on this thread are now change or fixed.
We will update you in the upcoming days about the U -comm, Hopefully we will start with it next week.

Best,
R&H

The latest timeline was to make the changes in the WME this weekend.
Just to be sure and since you didn’t announce anything different AFAIR, this is still the plan?

I don’t think so Wolfgang. It is mentioned in the initial post of this thread.

It is not, as I wrote today also in hangout
