Waze app not correctly sharing navigation instruction to my Skoda car

Good evening,
last 2 months or so I have problems when my Waze app / Android is sharing navigation to my car / Skoda Octavia. In general I have several situations:

  1. Waze showing 6,6 km but navigation is displaying only 6,0 km, and this is like when Waze is showing anything from 6,9 to 6,1 km, car still display 6,0. Like number after comma is missing.

  2. Waze shows 850 m but car display only 800 m, like displaying only hundreds and not tens of meters

  3. Waze calculates route, display navigation, car display only first calculated instructions and is not updating anything

I tried multiple cars, same behaviour. Waze app is updated, same as Android operation system.

Any idea how to help / solve my problem?

I actually have the same issue and it’s been really frustrating to deal with. I’ve noticed the exact same inconsistencies when using Waze with my car system distances getting rounded strangely (like 6.6 km showing as 6.0 km, or 850 m showing as 800 m), and sometimes the navigation just stops updating on the car display even though the app itself is still working fine on the phone. It almost feels like the data being sent to the car is either simplified or partially stuck.

I’ve also tried updating everything and even testing with different cars, and the behavior doesn’t change, which makes me think it’s more of an app or integration issue rather than something specific to the vehicle. It’s especially annoying when the navigation instructions don’t refresh, because that defeats the whole purpose of using it through the car display. If anyone has found a workaround or knows whether this is a known issue with Waze or Android Auto integration, I’d really appreciate it because I’m experiencing the same problem and haven’t found a fix yet.

I don’t think it will round down. Because when the TTS voice speaks while driving, the car will travel some distance. I have experience that the segment speed measurement reports “segment speed measurement after 500 meters”, but when it says all that, the info according to GPS is displayed as 450 m. What you think about this, is it possible explanation?
