I believe it was Mauro who indicated he is the Community Manager for Mexico on the recent Waze Community Office Hours on Sunday, 22 March 2020. I had mentioned that Guanajuato would be the perfect candidate for the Waze Beacons due to the abundance of tunnels in the city. I was only there as a tourist last month, but wanted to mention the idea to see if it gets any traction.

I totally agree with you.
The issue that we have found in Mexico is that governments are not willing to pay for beacons.
I don’t know if someone from the community has contact with the authorities of Guanajuato.
Hmm, I guess I had assumed that Waze was making funding available for the beacons.
