Waze Events Page: Issues

Hi Waze team,
I know the Waze Events page is a bit of a red-headed stepchild since it isn’t exactly WME or App. I also know y’all are working on a new Traffic Event landing page for the individual events. But I wanted to note two issues on the existing page(s):

1. The Waze Events page seems to be showing all events, including Past, Present, and Future. It should be filtered to Present and Future only.
   
   
2. It has been reported to me that the basemap for both the Events page and old Major Traffic Event landing pages doesn’t render properly on Safari, with vertical lines being rendered across the map. It appears okay on Chrome and Firefox.
   
   

I appreciate any support you can provide in resolving these website issues.

Hi,
the same problem appears in WME beta and production, when we want to attach a closure to an event, we get a huge list of past events.

It should be filtered to match the closing date. Not sure if you would directly get the Slovenian area

To reproduce:

• go to https://beta.waze.com/sl/events

• locate Slovenia in the viewable area

• refresh the page (F5)
  shows just map background

• zoom in/out

• pan any direction (can be very short moves)
  events will apear (present and past)

I’ve got a new strange behaviour: On a closure I can assign it to events not even in our country. At the same time I do not see current active events

None of them is even close to Slovenia

Hi @gorankav,

Thank you for your input. I’m not seeing this behavior on my end but I might be missing some preconditions. If this issue is still reproducible for you, could you please open a separate report with all necessary details in the relevant bugs section? (This specific thread is dedicated for Waze Events Page issues and not WME.)

Now that the Events page has been refreshed, I’d just like to follow up on the two issues reported in the first post:

Past events should no longer be shown on the new Events page.

It has been reported to me that the basemap for both the Events page and old Major Traffic Event landing pages doesn’t render properly on Safari, with vertical lines being rendered across the map. It appears okay on Chrome and Firefox.

I checked the new Events landing page in Safari (mobile) and it seems to be rendered correctly.
