I put in a city and state and it comes up no results, have tried multiple cities that I have used previously no idea what’s going on
anyone? i tried uninstalling n reinstalling and still nothing…driving half way across country in 2 days was planning on using this like i did last time but it wont work 
Are you searching for a city half-way across the country? If so, that is your problem. Waze will only search a few hundred miles (I think?) away from your current location. Remember that Waze is designed for daily commutes, so search is optimized with that in mind.
It isn’t perfect, but what I’ve done is to just manually zoom out to the whole country, then zoom back in on my destination area. You’ll probably have to use some other app/website to find your address, but then you can find the matching spot on the Waze map on your phone and press and hold the screen. You’ll get a pin that you can name and save as a favorite.
You can then navigate to that favorite as long as you are not too far away (currently 1,000 miles in the US I believe?)
If you are driving more than that, you are probably stopping somewhere overnight. That stop is probably within range for navigation and maybe even search. So each night you may be able to plot your next day’s destination.
