There already is a Waze New Zealand group, but it looks pretty dead:
I didn’t even know that the group existed so I guess it wasn’t advertised well.
My first reaction to the Facebook page is that it might make it more difficult to communicate between users with both the Waze forums and the facebook page. There would effectively be two places to manage and search for information.
Having said that, perhaps its a good place to help make sure new users are aware of the forums, wiki etc, and make sure we point them in the right direction to keep the bulk of conversations/debate around waze itself in one place. I know it took a little while after I started with Waze to get into the Forums and perhaps others will see a facebook first which can then encourage them to use the forum and wiki to help get started with editing in particular.
