Waze options while driving (object on road; car on road; weather or road conditions etc.)

Phone: Pixel 6 Pro with Android v13.x

I use Waze virtually every day but there are times when I’d really like to report some things or get some feedback from Wazers 5-10 minutes (miles?) ahead of me on my current route.

  1. I really don’t know where the ‘object on road’ option is. I luckily dodged a full bail of hay all wrapped up neat and ready to be hit going 70+ on an interstate recently at 5am!
  2. Same for ‘vehicle on side of road’. Be nice if I could specify which shoulder, if on an interstate.
  3. Weather conditions change in the Fall. Just a couple days ago I drove through some low-level mountains with fog and drizzle only to come in/out of it during a couple hour trip in these conditions. It would be great to be able to pinpoint the conditions as they recently weren’t bad but late Fall and Winter make things challenging.
  4. Related to the weather are the road conditions. A road and weather conditions alert would be great BEFORE I take a route as well as DURING.
  5. Can I voice activate these options instead of taking my eyes off the road?
  6. Recently I setup a final destination with two stops. Waze only provided the time to the next stop. I’d like to see next and then subsequent and/or final stop time and mileage.

When you hit the orange report button, tap the hazards option. There are on road and shoulder options for reports. You can also tap and hold the orange button then swipe to hazards, police, and traffic reports.

You definitely can use voice reports as well, Tap the icon and make your report such as “report car on the side of the road”. You should also be able to say “Hey Google” and submit your voice report.
