is is possible to have a commonly suggested route changed? I live in Bend, Oregon, on a two block long residential street. Waze routes traffic Onto our street and the traffic is continuous. That is noisy and annoying but not dangerous. What is dangerous is the accidents which have been caused by this busy traffic on our otherwise quiet street. I and my neighbors sometimes park our vehicles on the street. My truck has been hit TWICE by a hit-and-run driver. On Thanksgiving morning, while I was away from home, my Volvo was TOTALLED while parked on the street. My neighbors truck has been hit twice and at least one other neighbor has had her car hit. This is directly attributable to the Waze traffic on our two- block, curvy street. There is absolutely no reason why our little street should be a thoroughfare! There are several larger roads in the area, which were built to carry traffic and that is where the traffic should be.
My street is Bennington Way or Bennington Lane (depending on which end of the street you see the sign). Please adjust your WAZE algorithm so that my street can be safe for the people who live here. We are lucky that so far it is only vehicles that have been hit by the through-traffic. Luckily none of the children or adults have been hit yet.
I am a WAZE user myself and have appreciated the app for years. I would like to be able to still love and recommend WAZE but this situation has to change.
