Ideas please - you can’t turn right onto the A259 from Eldon Lane (and as set according to the node arrows), but Waze suggests it.
At one time this bit of the A259 was split into two lanes running past the junction, but then Waze encouraged drivers travelling Eastwards to swing a u-turn at the end of the split part to double back to get to Eldon Way.

This happens a lot to me, it was supposed to have been fixed but has not been.
As far as I’m concerned if a junction has a turn restriction set and it is locked then Waze should never allow this when routing, sadly that is not the case.
Here’s the thread from when it was allegedly fixed:

I’d raise a support ticket highlight it to the developers as this has safety implications!

Hi,
Should be raised with support. Did you?
Wasn’t the safety reason used for was changing all the junctions to restricted last year?
If there is a restriction then it should be observed, end of. It shouldn’t be a matter of there being a “weight” or “penalty” applied as they can be bypassed quite obviously.
Des. . .
It’s possible that the map is broken elsewhere, such that the only route Waze can find is by turning right. Can you find a route in the Livemap that breaks this turn restriction?
Surely then it would be better for waze to just report no route found rather than an incorrect route.
No that’s not the case, it does it a lot for me if you decide to deviate from waze’s route at a roundabout with “Y” junctions trying to make you do a U turn to get back to the roundabout even though a turn restriction is set on the “Y”.
It was reported to support and I’ve just received a reply to say its been fixed so I’ll have to see what’s been done when I have my laptop to hand.
