Waze support map update request: Wrong Direction [NJ]

Hi,

We’ve received a map update request to Waze support and we’re posting here on the user’s behalf. The link to this post will be forwarded for the user to follow up.

This is the user’s request:

[State] NJ

[City] Clifton

[Permalink] https://ul.waze.com/ul?ll=40.86581503%2C-74.15102731&navigate=yes&zoom=17&utm_campaign=default&utm_source=waze_website&utm_medium=lm_share_location

[Request type] Wrong Direction

[The user’s request content] “Sometimes, though not always, when 8 Orono Street, Clifton, NJ 07013 is the destination the app will route you to an empty lot on the other side of a fence from the address. In the first screenshot, it should take you to the purple dot, rather than the pin. They are physically close, about 10 feet apart, but they are on opposite sides of impassable barriers (a building, a fence, and the train tracks). The second screenshot, for 4 Orono Street, shows where the pin should be as they are the same building.”

Thanks,

The Waze Support team

Thanks to your report we have found and fixed a problem with the map. The fix should reach mobile devices within a few days. On rare occasions it can take closer to a week. IMPORTANT step: Please remove any instance of this address from your history and favorites by tapping the ‘3 dots’ and then ‘Remove’. Then search for the address. If you don’t remove the old results from your navigation or favorites, you will continue to be routed to the old coordinates. Please submit another report if this does not resolve your issue. Thanks!
