Based off GPS tracks, would you split that? It is a divided highway anyway.

Jumping into NM again, I would merely realign the segments of US-64 to the middle of the median / between the GPS tracks. Also clean up some of the clutter just to the east of your permalink here.
The way I read the wiki pages, it does not qualify for splitting:
However,
Looks like the highway was previously split.
Maybe post this to the main editing forum to elicit more feedback if you don’t get more in the NM Forums. You might benefit from the WME Validator script to help you in the clean up.
Yeah, I use validator (best thing ever) I’m slowly getting rid of all the mess along the highways, just working on the highway first. Was working on the split section to the west (the whole thing was reverse connected) then noticed the GPS tracks stayed split.
That is what confused me, as there were definitely two distinct tracks url=https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=4&lat=36.76928&lon=-108.60237&layers=399&env=usa&segments=62612503[/url]. How long do the GPS tracks persist? I was under impression GPS tracks tracked regardless of there being a road or not, hence sometimes you realign streets to the gps tracks.
I was actually thinking of aligning it to the middle too! I guess in the end I’ll unsplit the split section. I can see why unsplit is better, every intersection is a mess!
You mean post this in the US or Southwest forum, or the actual WME forum?
Unsplitting existing roads are a chore (as you may well know). The Wiki indicates that if it “works” as split, leave it. Especially if segments contain addresses!
The GPS Tracks layer seems to update less frequently, maybe once every 3 months (or more) in my experience. GPS Tracks are independent from existing road segments on the map.
The main Southwest forum seems fairly active. Given time, someone may stumble upon it here. Or PM a few fellow editors that you regularly contact or are active in the SW forums.
I would leave that area unsplit - as it’s a relatively short section between two areas that should be (and are) unsplit. That sections does need some cleanup though - align it to the middle of the road, get rid of the extraneous junction nodes on the cross streets & check all the turn restrictions.
